For more than 30 years, women in Logan County have been coming together to improve education and equity for women and girls. Through fundraising, a diverse membership and relevant programming, the Logan County Branch has become a valuable group in the community.
In 2004, AAUW/Logan County was one of only three Ohio branches awarded "gold status" under the Association's 21st Century Recognition Program!
Meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at various locations in the county.
AAUW - Advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and researchWe’ve promised hors’ d’oeuvres to accompany next week’s wine tasting/officer installation. So far, three members are preparing tasty morsels to heighten the tasting experience. Do YOU enjoy making appetizers? If so, we could use two or three more members’ contributions. Please contact Peggy Dishop (dedishop@charter.net) if you would like to help. She will be able to tell you what is already being planned and then you could decide what you would like to prepare.
Many thanks!
Please join other members of AAUW/Logan County for a festive evening on Wednesday, May 21, 2008.
Sue Moshos of Arleen’s Flowers & Gifts will conduct a wine tasting featuring five international wines. Hors d’oeuvres will be served with the wine. 2008-09 officers will be installed in a ceremony following the tasting.
Remember, too, that the Branch is celebrating its 30th anniversary. (Another reason for celebration!)

It’s time to take it easier! We’ve worked hard these last few months! First, there was an outstanding meeting with Bellefontaine High School girls. Then there was an over-the-top Meet the Candidates Night. And, finally, the Benefit Bee for Education last month set new records for fun and community involvement!
Here is the proposed/preliminary slate of new officers for 2008-2009

"Meet the Candidates!"
February 20, 2008
7:00 p.m.
Distance Learning Center, Bellefontaine High School
Super Tuesday (March 4) 2008 will be an important day for the American electorate. Several key races will also be held in Logan County. The "Meet the Candidates" event will provide a forum for those seeking political office to present their positions. AAUW/Logan County has developed a proud reputation for this type of public service.
Please note: Jamie would like to have a short member member meeting after the event (assuming we don't run too late).
Prospective teams look here! Registration forms are available for download.
